Experiences with kids

The lack of attention is, according to Dr. Kabat-Zinn, one of the main problems of developed societies and every time you look beyond the situation of digital networks and life in society.

 

Kabat-Zinn (physician and founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusets in 1979) states that through the Attention-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is found, through different variables , graphics, increase the attention capacity, concentration and learning In addition, you can see the improvements in the memory and immune system, and the implementation of this method with empathy with others.

Through different techniques based on the implementation of Mindfulness we can improve the health and performance of the brain of children, experiencing the activities they perform on a day-to-day basis through the information that their senses capture, in this way They keep the mind in sync with the thoughts.

 

On the other hand, children are specialists in living the present moment and give full attention to an activity. Therefore, it is important to learn to maintain mindfulness in childhood so that we can control our stress and concentration in the present moment without thinking about the worries of the past or the doubts of the future once we reach maturity.

To give students an understanding of what the Mindfulness concept consists of, an interactive game called "The Game of the Globe" can be used. This game consists in that the students will pass between them and them a balloon decorated with colors, words and other details. In the first round, they must pass the balloon as fast as possible between them and, in the next round, they must pass the balloon as slow as possible. Through the analysis of this game we can observe how in the fast round we do not pay attention to the details and we focus on the speed, while in the slow round we can easily observe the decorations of the balloon.

 

In the video called "Just breath" we can perfectly observe the extent that Mindfulness can have on the behavior of boys and girls. In this video the students analyze the behavior of their body in an angry situation and through different techniques by which they know their condition, they use different techniques to reduce stress and return to calm keeping control of their body and mind .
